Frocktober Day 12 and 13 – Road trippin’ and unwinding

Day 12

Dear Diary,

We headed off after Mum arrived to look after the kids and we had had lots of cuddles – I think we were more upset than the kids, they get to have Nanna and Grandad for the week – we have had a long hard road together as a family and have rarely had time apart over the last few years so it felt strange to be heading away from the kids, but Mum and Dad have always stressed that it is important to have some time to recharge to make sure we are both heading in the right direction, and they are so right!  When the kids leave home, it will be us alone again and we want to still have something in common and keep the love alive!

We swung by Rockingham city to catch up with Adelle from www.wherethestyledthingsare.com where she has taken on the job of their official blogger and was running a styling competition, so I had to enter – I could do with a $500 voucher to spend!!

This is the outfit I styled……..fingers crossed…….

 

I know this isn’t a conventional ‘travelling outfit’, but since when have I been a ‘conventional’ girl?

Bring back the everyday head wear, I say!!

oh, and do you like the car hubby swapped his grunting ford explorer for, for me?

I had obviously been in the car too long……

This Frock got a few side glances as it is SO PINK!! And maybe I was a tad over dressed for a road trip…….

 

 

Day 13 – NO BRA DAY!!

Dear Diary,

It took me a while to unwind today, we just hung out together and it is SOOO QUIET!!!! I didn’t know what to do with myself as I didn’t HAVE to do anything.

We took a stroll this afternoon and it wasn’t until I saw these photos that I realised how much this outfit fits with my surroundings.  And might I add that I was not as supported as I usually am as I was also participating in NO BRA DAY  (did you free the girls?)
